Carrie Lam, Chief Waitress
at the Hong Kong Restaurant, announced today that customers at the restaurant would
be consulted over the next six weeks on how they would like their steak cooked.Asked by reporters “what about customers who might
prefer eggs or seafood instead of steak?”, Lam replied that the signature dish “Palace
Museum Steak” – a small-scale copy of a recipe originated by the restaurant
group’s head chef in Beijing – was the only item on the menu, and in any case
an expert chef had already been secretly hired months ago to prepare the dish.
So here's how the year ends. Russia hacks into American computer systems. This is espionage. The US responds by expelling a bunch of Russian diplomats. Russia announces it will not respond in kind. America's next President then praises the Russian leader (mastermind of the espionage) as a smart guy.
This is not the reaction of a patriotic President. It can only be the response of a fool or a traitor (or possibly both). So which is it? A halfwit in the White House or a Russian agent? I think the American people should be asking themselves this question very seriously.
